    Welcome to the Kent CT Park and Recreation website. This is an official website of the Kent Park and Recreation Commission, the volunteer commission charged with oversight of the town’s recreational programs. Kent Park and Recreation develops and oversees comprehensive year-round offerings, including youth sports and camps as well as classes, outings and events for community members of all ages.
    Information about Park and Recreation programs is available by clicking the “Programs” tab to the left. Answers to general questions are available by clicking “Frequently Asked Questions” tab on the left. Parents and players will find detailed information about specific sports teams by selecting the “Sports” menu above. Seniors can access information about programs designed specifically for them by choosing the “Seniors” menu at top.
    The website also contains registration forms, links to other community and regional groups as well as contact information for Kent CT Park and Recreation. Per Connecticut General Statute 19a-77, Kent Park and Recreation is required to disclose that our services and programs are not licensed by the State Office of Early Childhood.

Holiday ice skating

Kent Park and Recreation in cooperation with Kent School will offer ice skating at the school's ice rink, Route 341, at the following times:December 16, 19, 23, 26, 28, 30: open skate, 10 a.m. to noon and sticks and pucks, 12:30-2:30 p.m.; December 20, 21, 22, 27, 29: sticks and pucks, 10 a.m. to noon and open skate, 12:30-2:30 p.m. A park pass is required and can be purchased at the ice rink during skating hours. Participants at open skate must wear a hat and skates on the ice; sticks and pucks participants must wear a helmet and skates.

Fitzgerald Irish Dance Program

Kent Park and Recreation announces Fitzgerald Irish Dance program. The program will accept pre-registration and will host a "free" evening January 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kent Community House for interested participants (inclement weather date is February 1). A six-week session would begin February 8 and meet Wednesdays at the Kent Community House. Program is open to youngsters ages 2 through adults. Little Feet meet at 5:30 p.m. and beginners at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $60/person for a six-week session. Program flyer and registration form available on the website under "Forms." Men's Basketball

Kent Park and Recreation will sponsor adult men's basketball Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Kent Center School gymnasium. The program will meet December 7 and 21, 2016. The program will continue weekly, starting January 4. Please note the program would not meet in the event KCS is closed due to a holiday, early dismissal day or inclement weather. Playing Fields

The rules for the Playing Fields adjacent Kent Center School state that dogs are not allowed on the fields, and playing golf is prohibited on the fields. Kent Park and Rec appreciates your observance of these rules when using the fields.
