Adult Programs

Adult Men's Basketball - program meets in the winter months Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Kent Center School gym. The program will meet January 9, 16, 30 and February 13, 20 and 27. No cost. Participants must register; forms available at the gym.

Beginning dog obedience class - The class, open to any age dog and led by Lee Sohl, will meets for eight weeks at a cost of $80; the 2019 class date will be announced.

Martial Arts Class for ages 7 through adult meets Mondays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. at the Kent Community House, North Main Street. The 10-week program is ongoing. The class is sponsored by USA Martial Arts of Woodbury, a member of the Cheezic Tang Soo Do Karate Federation. Registration fee is $70/10-week session. Martial arts training has been shown to reduce stress, increase confidence, self-discipline, focus and respect in addition to the self-defense benefits. Registration form available under "Forms." Registration can be returned to the Park and Recreation office, Town Hall, or brought to the first class.


Qigong Class, an introductory course, is offered Wednesdays, 9-10:30 a.m. at the Kent Community House. Qigong is a classical method of self-healing rooted in the longevity tradition of old China. Pre-registration required by contacting instructor Christopher Kiely at or call 802-349-2725.  The course is offered in collaboration with Kent Park and Recreation.
