Basketball: Kent Park and Recreation offers instructional programs for kindergarten, grade 1 and grades 2-3 once a week from January to early March  in the Kent Center School gym. Registration information is emailed to families. The programs feature drills to learn basic skills and game development. The cost is $5/participant. The 2016 programs meet as follows: kindergarten, Fridays, 5:30-6 p.m; grade 1: Fridays, 6-7 p.m.; grades 2-3: Mondays, 6:15-7:15 p.m. Park and Recreation sponsors Adams League Basketball for grades 4-8. The team practices Wednesdays, 5:15-6:30 p.m. and play games on Saturday morning in the KCS gym. Registration cost is $25/player; $5 discount for additional players in the same family. The coed program focuses on skill refinement and game situations. Registration for Adams League basketball teams runs from mid-October to mid-November.

Soccer: Kent Park and Recreation offers instructional programs for kindergarten and grade 1 once a week from early September through October in the late afternoon at the playing fields adjacent Kent Center School. Registration information is emailed home to families. The cost is $5/player. Park and Recreation participates in the Northwest Soccer League, offering travel teams: U8 coed; U10 boys; U10 girls; U12 Boys; U12 girls. The registration fee is $30; registration runs from early June to mid-August. The teams practice Tuesday afternoons, and games are played Saturdays, September through October. The season culminates in a jamboree for the U10 teams and a championship series for the U12 teams.

Softball/Baseball: Kent Park and Recreation offers instructional programs for kindergarten and grade 1 once a week from mid-April to early June in the late afternoon at the playing fields adjacent Kent Center School. Registration information is emailed home to families. The cost is $5/player. Park and Recreation sponsors the coed Minor League baseball program for grades 2-3; weeknight practice and Saturday games. This program features pitching by the coaches and introduces game situations. Little League program is open to youngsters ages 9-12: tryout team for the more skilled players, typically a co-op team with neighboring towns depending on registration numbers; Kent team for players who are not interested in trying out for the other team; may be a co-op team, depending on registration numbers. The Little League program features one or two weeknight practices and games.
